Duties

Shall assist and administer community services in development, planning implementation, and evaluation of the program to serve low-income communities.

Composition

Not more than 1/3 of the members of the governing board shall be "public officials". The NCCAA Board of Directors shall designate the public officials or public agencies to be represented on the Board. The By-Laws and Election Committee shall be responsible for advising public officials or public agencies by certified letter during the month of August of the availability of membership on the Board should they desire to serve. Public officials or public agencies desiring membership on the Board must notify the Board in writing no later than the designated date in order to be placed on the written ballot, should an election be necessary as per Section 6. The purpose of this election is to provide a method of selection by which groups may be rotated from year to year in order to assure board representation from the community.
