Duties
The protection of life and property from fire and for the conservation of natural and human resources. Control and administer the property, debts, and assets for the district.
Composition
The Board of Emergency Services Commissioners, who shall be appointed by the Commissioners Court, shall be the governing body of the district. They shall serve for a term of two years and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
Creation & Authority
Created and operated under the provision of Chapter 775 of the Texas Health and Safety Code. This board was created by petition, called election and voter approved in May, 2010.
Meets
Monthly on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 203 East Main Street, Bishop, Texas, 78343.
Terms
Two year staggered terms ending on December 31. Two board positions are effective January 1 of even-numbered years and three board positions are effective January 1 of odd-numbered years.
