Duties

Composition

The Nueces County Juvenile Advisory Council shall consist of ten members who shall be appointed by the members of the Juvenile Board. Each member of the Nueces County Juvenile Board shall appoint one member of the Nueces County Juvenile Advisory Council and his or her replacement upon termination of the service of that Advisory Council member.

Creation & Authority

Created by the Nueces County Juvenile Board effective January 1, 1988. This Board is authorized by the V.T.C.A., Human Resources Code 152.0010.

Meets

The Council shall meet monthly except for the months of June and August. Special meetings may be called at any time at the discretion of the Chairperson or the Juvenile Board. The meetings shall be held at the Juvenile Justice Center.

Terms

Members shall serve for two-year terms. Members may not serve more than three two-year terms.
