Duties

The regional water supplier for Western Nueces County and Kleberg County, the South Texas Water Authority is committed to working with governmental entities, Water Supply Corporation, industry and commerce to maintain an available high quality, dependable and affordable water supply for current and future needs.

Composition

The Board is composed of nine directors, five appointed by the Commissioners Court of Kingsville, and four appointed by the Commissioners Court of Nueces County.

Section 4(a) and (b), Chapter 436, Article XVI, Section 59, Acts of the 66^th Legislature, Regular Session, 1979.

Meets

Fourth Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 p.m., in the conference room located at 111 Sage Road, Kingsville, Texas. 

Terms

Two year staggered terms. Two board positions expire in April of even-numbered years and two board positions expire in April of odd-numbered years.
