Completing and Submitting an Application for Ballot by Mail (ABBM)
You may send in your application for a ballot by mail to the Early Voting Clerk by:
- In-person delivery (by voter only);
- Regular Mail;
- Common or contract carrier; or
- Email *
*If you submit your application by email, you must mail us the hard copy with an original signature within four (4) business days. Emailed applications are simply “place-holders”.
- Voters have to provide either their Texas Identification, TXDL, EIC number; OR the last four digits of their Social Security number on both their ballot application and carrier envelope. We strongly recommend putting both numbers.
- Important Note: The Number you provide on the application must match your Voter Registration Record, otherwise your application will be rejected. (That's why we strongly recommend putting both numbers!)
- Pregnant women expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day may now vote by mail.
- Voters may only hand deliver their own ballot application to the County Clerk’s Office.
