Constable Jason McCahan

Constable McCahan graduated from Harwich High school in Massachusetts in 1991.  He joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school. He is a Gulf War Veteran.  After 6 years of faithful service he obtained an Honorable discharge.  He continued his service to the Nation by working on military helicopters as a civilian contractor and Federal employee for the next 17 years.  With 23 years of combined military and Federal service he retired from the Dept of the Army in Dec 2020.  He is married to Farrah Marek McCahan.  They have 4 children.  He resides in the same community he serves.  Constable McCahan’s office is available to all the citizens of Nueces County.  He plans to bring the office up to speed with all the available technology and deliver a more efficient service to the community.

Constable McCahan is dedicated to protecting all the citizens of Nueces County and especially the children for which his Precinct is responsible.

The Department serves the citizens of Nueces County from Flour Bluff to the Southside and out towards Chapman Ranch, all of which are one of the fastest growing areas in the county.  The Department provides safety and protection to its citizens via community-based policing and pro-active law enforcement efforts.
