Constable Jimmy Rivera

Constable Rivera graduated from Alice High School in 1984. He joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school. He is a Desert Storm Veteran with an Honorable discharge.

In 1988, Constable Rivera started his law enforcement career with the Kingsville Police Department. While with the Kingsville Police Department, Constable Rivera held several positions, which included Patrol, Investigations and SWAT.

Constable Rivera then accepted a position with the Bishop Police Department, where he worked his way up to the rank of Lieutenant. After seven very productive years with the Bishop Police Department, Constable Rivera accepted a position with the Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD) Police Department. Constable Rivera served eight years with CCISD-PD.

Constable Rivera has lived within the Bishop community for 30 years.

Constable Rivera is dedicated to protecting all the citizens of Nueces County, including the areas surrounding Nueces County. Although traditional policing and traditional patrol methods are employed by the Pct. 3 Constables Office, Constable Rivera strongly believes in Community Based Policing and strongly encourages citizens of the precinct to be involved with this office.

The Pct. 3 Nueces County Constables Office is responsible for patrolling and responding to calls for service in Bishop, Driscoll, Petronila, Golden Acres, Tierra Grande, Tierra Ponente, Lost Creek, La Paloma, Fiesta Ranch and all the farms and ranches in between.

The Pct. 3 Nueces County Constables Office also responds to calls outside of Pct. 3, when other Law Enforcement Officers are not available.

Constable Rivera’s office is available to all the citizens of Nueces County, including the areas surrounding Nueces County.
