Minimum Requirements

In order to become a Nueces County Corrections Officer, you must:

  1. Be a high school graduate or possess a GED, and 18+ years old.
  2. Be willing to attend the NCSO Training Academy to become certified as a Corrections Officer.

In order to become a Deputy Sheriff, you must:

  1. Be a high school graduate or possess a GED, and be 21+ years old.
  2. Possess a valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license,
  3. Be commissioned.

Salary And Benefits

Salary $41,000 to $58,000 depending on experience and certifications. Some of the benefits include:
